Upper Body A (05.03.2018)

I’ll be tracking my efforts using a blog post per workout…

It was a very chilly cycle to work this morning, with the canal frozen pretty much all the way along my route..

oday’s was focused on upper body muscles, and consisted of:

3 set x 6-8 reps of Bench Press @ 60kg. I did 8 reps for all 3 sets

3 x 6-8 of Bent over Barbell Row @ 50kg. I did 8 reps for all 3 sets

3 x 8-10 of Incline Press. I managed 10 @ 22kg, 9 @ 22kg and 7 @ 22kg

3 x 8-10 of Lat Pull Downs @ 59kg. I did 10 reps for all 3 sets

3 x 8-10 of Lateral Raises @ 7kg. I did 10 reps for all 3 sets

3 x 6-8 of Tricep Pushdowns. I managed 8 @ 59kg (poor form), so I did 2 x 8 @ 50kg (good form)

3 x 8-10 of Dumbbell curls @ 12kg bar. I did 10 reps for all 3 sets

Although the weight may not seem high to some people, my focus was on perfect form (technique), smooth tempo, and setting a baseline from which to build from.

My training was at PureGym Snow Hill, Birmingham. It’s half a mile from my office which I use as my warm up by jogging there, and cool down on the jog back. There, done, back and showered within an hour.
